A következő hónapokban jelentősen lelassul az orosz csapatok ukrajnai offenzívája, ezért fontos, hogy fegyverrel támogassuk az ukrán csapatok majdani ellentámadását – közölte Boris Johnson brit miniszterelnök csütörtökön egy lapinterjúban, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint a brit kormányfő a Süddeutsche Zeitung című német lapnak nyilatkozva elmondta: „a katonai hírszerzésünk úgy véli, hogy az orosz hadsereg ukrajnai előrenyomulásának üteme lelassul a következő hónapokban, mivel a csapatok kimerítik erőforrásaikat.” Szerinte a következő hónapokban Oroszország eljuthat arra a pontra, ahol a kiapadt erőforrások miatt már nem lesz előrelépés Ukrajnában.
A miniszterelnök úgy vélte, hogy a jelzett pillanatban fontos lesz segíteni az ukránokat a háború dinamikájának a megváltoztatásában. „Amennyire az ukránok képesek ellentámadást indítani, azt támogatni kell. Azokkal a fegyverekkel, amelyeket tőlünk követelnek” – tette hozzá Boris Johnson.
Mint hírportálunk tegnap beszámolt róla, a brit miniszterelnök egy lapinterjúban arra figyelmeztetett, hogy a nyugati partnereknek tisztában kell lenniük azzal, hogy a Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnöknek tett engedmények Ukrajnával kapcsolatban csak katasztrófához vezetnek.

A jelentés szerint az ukrán diplomata a Bild című német lapnak nyilatkozva ismét élesen bírálta a német kancellárt, hangsúlyozva, hogy Ukrajnát Berlin katonailag egyszerűen eldobta. „Kijev azt remélte, hogy ebből a beszédből hallani fogja, milyen lépéseket tesz majd a közlekedési lámpa koalíció annak érdekében, hogy tömegméretű támogatást nyújtson Ukrajnának a háború megnyeréséhez” – fejezte ki elégedetlenségét. „Sajnos ez nem volt egy esemény, különösen ami a nehézfegyverek azonnali szállítását illeti Németországból” – méltatlankodott Andrij Melnik.
Mint hírportálunk csütörtökön beszámolt róla, Scholz a davosi Világgazdasági Fórumon mondott beszédében kijelentette, hogy a világ nem fogadja el a békét Ukrajnában az orosz elnök által diktált feltételekkel, Putyinnak nem szabad győznie, és biztos, hogy erre nem is lesz képes. „Nem lesz erőltetett béke, az ukránok azt nem fogadják el, és mi sem fogadjuk el” – emlékeztetett a német kancellár.

Kína biztonsági megállapodást írt alá a Salamon-szigetekkel – közölte keddi sajtótájékoztatóján Pekingben Vang Ven-pin, a kínai külügyminisztérium szóvivője.
Az egyezmény tervezetét még március végén írták alá a Salamon-szigetek és Kína képviselői. Vang keddi bejelentése szerint az egyezményt végleges formájában a két ország külügyminiszterei látták el kézjegyükkel. A megállapodás értelmében Kína rendőri és katonai csapatokat küldhet a Salamon-szigetekre, hogy segítsenek a helyi kormánynak fenntartani a társadalmi rendet és felszámolni a belföldi fenyegetéseket. Ezenkívül kínai hadihajók is kiköthetnek a szigetországban, hogy utánpótlást vegyenek fel.
Az egyezményt többen bírálták, mert attól tartanak, hogy a régió militarizálásához vezet. Más országok mellett Pápua-Új-Guinea, Új-Zéland, a Fidzsi-szigetek, Ausztrália és az Egyesült Államok is aggodalmát fejezte ki a megállapodás miatt. Az ausztrál védelmi miniszter még a tervezet hírére reagálva közölte: ha Kína katonai támaszpontot építene a Salamon-szigeteken, akkor Ausztrália számottevően növelné katonai jelenlétét a térségben, mert a Salamon-szigetek nagyon közel van az országhoz.
Manasseh Sogavare, a Salamon-szigetek miniszterelnöke április elején kijelentette: nem engedi, hogy Kína katonai bázist létesítsen a szigetországban, mert tisztában van annak biztonsági vonzataival.
A kínai külügyminisztérium pedig még a tervezet kapcsán közölte: a biztonsági együttműködés nem irányul harmadik ország ellen, és nem célja a feszültségkeltés. Peking szerint a két ország közötti megállapodás a társadalmi rendre, az élet- és vagyonvédelemre, valamint a természeti katasztrófák elhárítására terjed ki.
A csendes-óceáni szigetország 2019-ben létesített hivatalos diplomáciai kapcsolatot Pekinggel, megszakítva hivatalos kapcsolatát Tajvannal. Kína saját területének elidegeníthetetlen részeként tekint Tajvanra, és a diplomáciai kapcsolatok alapfeltételének tekinti az „egy Kína elvének” betartását.

Ben Wallace brit védelmi miniszter egy televíziós interjúban azt mondta, hogy szerinte Nagy-Britannia és a nyugati országok nem küldenek csapatokat Ukrajna védelmére az orosz agresszióval szemben – adta hírül vasárnap a korrespondent.net hírportál.
A jelentés szerint a védelmi miniszter a Spectator tévécsatornának nyilatkozva kétségét fejezte ki afelől, hogy Nagy-Britannia és szövetségesei csapatokat küldenek Ukrajnába egy nagyszabású orosz offenzíva esetén. „Tény, hogy Ukrajna nem tagja a NATO-nak, így nem valószínű, hogy valaki csapatokat küld majd Ukrajnába, hogy kihívja maga ellen Oroszországot” – hangsúlyozta. „Nem szabad ezzel megtévesztenünk az embereket” – mutatott rá.
Mint hírportálunk november 11-én beszámolt róla, a The Mirror című angol lap azt írta, Nagy-Britannia akár néhány órán belül 600 elitkommandósból álló egységet dobhat át Ukrajnába az Oroszországból kiinduló támadási fenyegetés tükrében. Az újság saját forrásaira hivatkozva közölte, hogy az angol elitalakulatot figyelmeztették, miszerint néhány órán belül Ukrajnába vezényelhetik. Az erre irányuló előkészületek azt követően kezdődtek el, hogy a védelmi miniszter és a külső hírszerzési hivatal, az MI-6 vezetője kijelentette, Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnök nyilvánvaló és valós veszélyt jelent Ukrajna és a Nyugat számára.
