„Nagyszerű határozataink vannak a Patriotról, de valójában nem rendelkezünk velük” – jelezte az államfő az amerikai légvédelmi rendszerre utalva.
A hírügynökség emlékeztet, hogy az Egyesült Államokban január óta folyik az ukrán katonák kiképzése a Patriot rendszerek használatára, de Ukrajnában még nem telepítették azokat.
Az elnök hangsúlyozta, hogy Ukrajnának 20 ütegre volna szüksége a Patriot légvédelmi rendszerből az orosz rakéták elleni védekezéshez. Szerinte talán még ez sem lenne elég, mert „a világon egyetlen országot sem támadtak még ennyi ballisztikus rakétával”.
Volodimir Zelenszkij arról is beszélt az AP-nek, hogy az egyik európai ország átadott Ukrajnának egy légvédelmi rendszert, amely nem működött. Ezért kénytelenek voltak „újra és újra cserélni” azt. Az elnök nem nevezte meg az országot.

Szlovákia kormánya jóváhagyta a MiG-29-es vadászrepülőgépek, valamint a Kub légvédelmi rendszer átadását Ukrajnának – számolt be pénteken az rbc.ua hírportál a Pravda című szlovák lapra hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint Eduard Geger, Szlovákia megbízott miniszterelnöke bejelentette: „A kormány egyhangúlag jóváhagyta a nemzetközi megállapodást, és döntött a MiG-29-es vadászgépek és a Kub légvédelmi rendszer Ukrajnának történő térítésmentes átadásáról.” Megjegyezte, hogy a döntés „alkotmányos, tiszta formában” született, erről Zuzana Caputova elnököt is tájékoztatták. Szerinte a vadászgépeket védekezésre és légvédelemre kell használni, nem támadásra.
Mint hírportálunk március 2-án beszámolt róla, Jaroslav Nad’ szlovák védelmi miniszter bejelentette: Szlovákia 11 szovjet gyártmányú MiG-29-es vadászgépéből 10-et kész átadni Ukrajnának, egyet pedig a Szlovák Repülési Múzeumnak tartanak fenn, amelynek a kiállítása folyamatban van. A tárcavezető egyúttal közölte: „Soha többé nem fogunk MiG-eket használni. Számunkra nincs valódi értékük. Ha Ukrajnának adjuk őket, akkor segítenek megmenteni valakinek az életét.”

A Wall Street Journal idézi Armin Pappergert, a Rheinmetall AG vezérigazgatóját, aki szerint a rendszerek egy éven belül szolgálatba állnak az ukrán hadseregnél. Egyúttal jelezte, hogy a Skynexet a német hatóságok rendelték meg.
Ezeknek a légvédelmi rendszereknek az ára 212 millió dollár.
A Skynex rendszereket rövid hatótávolságú légvédelemre használják. Képes drónok és cirkáló rakéták lelövésére. Ennek a légvédelmi rendszernek az egyik előnye a meglehetősen olcsó lőszer.

Németország és Svédország újabb fegyvercsomagról tárgyal, amelynek keretében Stockholm légvédelmi rakétákat és indítószerkezeteket biztosít Ukrajnának a német IRIS-T rendszerekhez – számolt be a Bloomberg forrásokra hivatkozva.
Németország felkérte Svédországot, hogy biztosítson indítózerkezeteket az IRIS-T-kompatibilis rakétaelhárító rendszerhez. Antonio Tajani olasz külügyminiszter az egyik televíziós műsor adásában elmondta, hogy Ukrajnában a következő 7-8 héten belül üzembe helyezik a korábban bejelentett SAMP/T légvédelmi rendszert.
A hírt a Telegraph közölte.
„Úgy gondolom, hogy hét-nyolc héten belül üzembe helyezik” – mondta Antonio Tajani.
Valamivel később az olasz külügyminiszter közleményét titkára is megerősítette.
Az említett légvédelmi rendszer 10 célpont egyidejű megsemmisítésére képes, és az egyetlen olyan európai gyártású rendszer, amely képes megsemmisíteni a ballisztikus rakétákat.
