Зокрема, представник ЦРУ сказав Newsweek, твердження в матеріалі швейцарського видання Neue Zürcher Zeitung про те, що директор ЦРУ Вільям Бернс нібито здійснив таємну поїздку до Москви в середині січня 2023 року в Київ та Москву та пропонував „мир в обмін на п’яту частину території України на користь рф” є абсолютно неправдивими.
Своє чергою заступник прес-секретаря Ради нацбезпеки Білого дому Шон Девітт заявив, повідомлення газети „не відповідає дійсності”, і що ЦРУ скаже те саме.
