Глава зовнішньополітичного відомства Європейського союзу Жозеп Боррель виступив проти пропозиції деяких держав-членів заборонити видачу шенгенських віз громадянам росії.
Про це повідомляється на прес-конференції Quo Vadis Europe.
“Заборонити в’їзд всім росіянам – не дуже хороша ідея. Ми повинні бути більш виборчими”, – заявив він.
За його словами, ЄС не повинен відкривати двері олігархам, але “є багато росіян, які хочуть тікати з країни, тому що вони не хочуть жити в такій ситуації”.
Боррель заявив, що деякі країни вже прийняли певну кількість заходів щодо заборони віз, які інші країни ЄС не збираються підтримувати, зазначивши, що було б краще спочатку обговорити це на рівні ЄС.
