„Búcsúlátogatásra érkeztem Kijevbe. Negyedszer járok itt államfőként, és harmadszor a háború megindítása óta. Azért is jöttem, mert jó híreket hoztam az Ukrajnának adott szlovák segítségnyújtással kapcsolatban” – tette közzé Zuzana Čaputová a közösségi hálón.

Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök szerdán telefonos megbeszélést folytatott szlovák kollégájával, Zuzana Čaputovával, az egyik téma Ukrajna csatlakozási tárgyalásinak a megkezdése volt az Európai Unióval – számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál az államfő Telegram-közlésére hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint az elnök köszönetet mondott az uniós csatlakozási tárgyalások megkezdésével kapcsolatos előrehaladás magas értékeléséért. Méltatta Szlovákia képviselőjének részvételét a békeformula végrehajtásával foglalkozó tanácsadói találkozón.
„Čaputovával az energiabiztonság terén az Ukrajnára ezen a télen váró kihívásokról tárgyaltam. A megbeszélések témája volt Ukrajna és Szlovákia gazdasági együttműködése is” – jegyezte meg Volodimir Zelenszkij.
A hírportál emlékeztetett arra, hogy idén ősszel parlamenti választásokat tartottak Szlovákiában, amelyen az oroszbarát párt nyert. Ennek vezetője, Robert Fico az ország miniszterelnöke lett. A választások után szlovák illetékesek többször is kijelentették, hogy leállítják Ukrajna fegyverellátását, de továbbra is nyújtanak más támogatást.
