 A jelentés szerint Zelenszkij kifejtette, hogy a Trumppal folytatott legutóbbi megbeszélésük során egy olyan megállapodásról tárgyaltak, amelynek értelmében az Egyesült Államok és Ukrajna támogatni fogja egymást a repüléstechnika területén. Szerinte így Ukrajna amerikai fegyvereket is vásárolhat majd, de a megállapodás részletei még nem tisztázottak.
 „Az amerikai népnek szüksége van erre a technológiára (a drónokra – a szerk.), és a fegyvertárában kell lennie. Szerintem ez valóban egy mega-üzlet, mindkét fél számára nyerő, ahogy mondani szokás” – tette hozzá Volodimir Zelenszkij, megjegyezve, hogy Ukrajna kész megosztani a pilóta nélküli légi technológiák terén szerzett tapasztalatait Amerikával és más európai partnerekkel, beleértve Dániát, Norvégiát és Németországot.

 A jelentés szerint az ukrán diplomácia vezetője a CNN amerikai hírtelevíziónak nyilatkozva elmondta: „Bármi is az ára Ukrajna támogatásának, a saját kezűleg folytatott harc ára sokkal magasabb lenne. Egy dolog tankot küldeni Ukrajnának. Lehet, hogy nehéz döntés, de másik dolog egy fiatal fiút beültetni a tankba, és elküldeni meghalni egy másik országért.”
 A külügyminiszter hangsúlyozta, hogy „soha nem kértünk külföldi katonákat ukrán földön”. „Ezért nevezem ezt tisztességes alkunak. Nem vagyunk olyanok, mint azok az országok, amelyek arra kérik az Egyesült Államokat, hogy jöjjön és mentse meg őket. Azt mondjuk, hogy tudjuk, hogyan mentsük meg magunkat, adjátok nekünk „Dávid parittyáját, hogy leterítsük Góliátot” – mutatott rá Dmitro Kuleba.
 A hírportál emlékeztetett arra, hogy Kuleba korábban megjegyezte, Ukrajna szinte minden típusú fegyvert megkapott a nyugati szövetségeseitől, amit kért. Már csak a vadászgépek maradtak.
