A jelentés szerint az ukrán diplomácia vezetője a Le Journal du dimanche című francia kiadványnak nyilatkozva kifejtette: „Macron francia elnöknek joga van eldönteni, hogy kivel tárgyaljon. A tapasztalatok azonban azt mutatják, hogy a Putyinnal folytatott megbeszélésekhez a legjobb hely a csatatér.”
A külügyminiszter szerint a Putyinnal folytatott telefonos tárgyalások a Kreml fejének hazugságai miatt nem vezetnek eredményre. „Emlékszem, milyen rendkívüli erőfeszítéseket tett Macron a háború előtt a konfliktus megelőzése érdekében. Nem sikerült. Semmi sem utal arra, hogy Putyin azóta meggondolta volna magát, vagy készen állna a tárgyalásokra” – jegyezte meg.
A tárcavezető hozzátette, hogy minden háború diplomáciával végződik. „Csak az a fontos, hogy Ukrajna győztes pozícióban üljön a tárgyalóasztalhoz, és ez utóbbi a harctéren dől el” – mutatott rá Dmitro Kuleba.
Mint hírportálunk ma beszámolt róla, Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök egy nemzetközi konferencián kijelentette: Oroszországnak tárgyalási hajlandóságot kell mutatnia, de ehhez Moszkvának el kell ismernie megszállói státuszát. „Nem készek megváltoztatni a státuszukat, nem hajlandók azt mondani, hogy megszállók vagyunk. Nem állnak készen arra, hogy azt mondják: „nagy tragédia, történelmi hiba történt – elmegyünk” – mutatott rá. „Ha nem állnak készen, akkor nem rendelkeznek politikai akarattal. Nem állnak készen arra, hogy elismerjék országunk megszállását” – emlékeztetett az elnök.
