Robert Fico szlovák miniszterelnök azzal fenyegetőzött, hogy leállítja az áramszállítást Ukrajnába, hogy bosszút álljon, amiért Kijev leállítja az orosz gáz tranzitszállítását Európába – közölte a szlovák kormányfő a Facebook-oldalán, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Fico kifejtette: „Január 1-je után felmérjük a helyzetet és az Ukrajnával szembeni esetleges válaszintézkedéseket. Ha szükséges, leállítjuk az áramszállítást, ami Ukrajna számára rendkívül szükséges a hálózati kimaradások idején.”
A szlovák kormányfő a fenyegetést indokolva rámutatott arra, hogy az orosz gázszállítás leállításának jelentős hatása lesz az európai gazdaságra. „Az Európai Uniónak 120 milliárd euró (125 milliárd dollár) további villamosenergia-költséggel kell szembenéznie a következő két évben az orosz gázszállítás leállása miatt” – mutatott rá Robert Fico.
