Az ukrán fegyveres erők sikeres ellentámadása után a Nyugatnak fokoznia kell a fegyverszállításokat Ukrajnának, mert ez elősegíti a teljes körű háború mielőbbi befejezését – jelentette ki kedden Dmitro Kuleba külügyminiszter a Politico című amerikai kiadványnak nyilatkozva, számolt be az Ukrajinszka Pravda hírportál.
Mint az ukrán diplomácia vezetője elmondta, „megváltoztattuk az események menetét, ezért több nehézfegyverre és lőszerre van szükségünk szövetségeseinktől az ellentámadás ütemének fokozása, több ember megmentése és több ukrán terület gyors felszabadítása érdekében.”
A külügyminiszter szerint Ukrajna keleti és déli ellentámadása azt bizonyítja, hogy „minden befektetés, amit nyugati partnereink a védelmi képességeinkbe eszközöltek, valójában lenyűgöző eredményekhez vezet”. „Minél több katonai támogatást kapunk most, annál hamarabb véget ér ez a háború. Ezért Ukrajna felhívja partnereit, hogy összpontosítsanak a menetrendre: az ukrán hadsereg gyors ellátása a szükséges eszközökkel közelebb hozza a győzelmet és a békét. Most már nem lehet kétséges, hogy Ukrajna nyerhet, Oroszország pedig legyőzhető a csatatéren” – hangsúlyozta Dmitro Kuleba.
