Kárpátalja ismét a hírek középpontjába került, ezúttal viszont az ország határain túl. A külföldi sajtóorgánumokban ugyanis olyan hírek jelentek meg, hogy a helyi magyar közösséget újabb inzultusok érték. Ezzel kapcsolatban a napokban megbeszélést tartottak a megyei közigazgatási hivatal épületében, amelyen részt vettek a kárpátaljai magyar közösség, a helyi önkormányzatok és a megyei hatóságok képviselői is.
Kárpátalja kormányzója nem rejtette véka alá az érzéseit. Véleménye szerint a szóban forgó munkácsi politikusnak szégyellnie kellene magát az ilyen tettek miatt, ambícióit pedig nem az interneten, hanem az általa betöltött tisztségben kellett volna demonstrálni.
