Letartóztatták az egyik leghíresebb iráni színésznőt, amiért kiállt a kormányellenes tüntetők mellett, írja a BBC. Taraneh Alidoostit „hamis hírek terjesztésével” vádolják az iráni állami média közlése szerint.
A 38 éves nő egy múlt heti Instagram-posztban ítélte el egy tüntető kivégzést. Alidoosti a bejegyzésben egyúttal néhány nemzetközi szervezetet is kritizált, amiért nem emelték fel hangjukat Mohszen Sekari felakasztása ellen. A férfit azután ítélték halálra novemberben, hogy két hónappal korábban lezárt egy teheráni főutat, majd egy machetével hadonászva megsebesített egy rendfenntartót.
Az IRNA állami hírügynökség szerint a színésznőt azért állították elő, mert kijelentéseit semmivel sem tudta bizonyítani, ezek pedig így álhírnek minősültek.
Taraneh Alidoosti az ország egyik legsikeresebb színésznője. Szerepelt többek között az Oscar-díjas Az ügyfél című filmben is. A tiltakozások kirobbanása óta többször is bírálta az ország vezetését amiatt, ahogy a zavargásokat kezelni próbálták. Novemberben még egy hidzsáb, vagyis fejkendő nélküli képet is posztolt magáról, amivel szolidaritását fejezte ki a tüntetőkkel.
Az idén ősszel kirobbant tüntetések az egyik legkomolyabb ellenállás az iráni rezsim 1979-es hatalomra kerülése óta. A hatóságok Sekari kivégzése óta egy másik tüntetőn is végrehajtották a halálos ítéletet. A lázadók ellen a vád mindkét esetben „moharebeh”, vagyis Isten elleni harc volt.
