Az ukrán fél nem tárgyal Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnökkel, mert olyan vénember, aki nem emlékszik az ígéreteire, és nem tartja be a szavát – jelentette ki szombaton Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök egy televíziós interjúban, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint az elnök a CTV és CBC kanadai televízióknak nyilatkozva azt mondta: „nyilvánosan elmondtuk, hogy ha népszavazást tartanak, ha elismernek valamit, ha elkezdik elismerni, hogy külön köztársaságok, akkor örökre kizárjuk a tárgyalás lehetőségét a jelenlegi elnökkel. Mert úgy gondolom, hogy nem csak a nemzetközi jogot, hanem minden korábban érvényben lévő megállapodást megsértett, kezdve a normandiai formátummal.”
Az államfő úgy vélte, Putyin a normandiai találkozón ragaszkodott ahhoz, hogy a Krím félszigeten valamiféle népszavazás volt, de Oroszország nem fog teljes körű háborút indítani, és semmit nem fog elfoglalni. A donbászi helyzet pedig állítólag a nép döntésének az eredménye, és az orosz hadsereg ott sem volt – tette hozzá. „Ez az egész egy hablaty, és egy vénember, aki már nem emlékszik, hol adta és hol nem adta a szavát. Ez van. És ezért mi értelme nekem, mint Ukrajna elnökének, hogy tárgyaljak egy olyan személlyel, aki mond valamit, és holnapra megváltoztatja álláspontját” – fejtette ki Volodimir Zelenszkij.
