Emmanuel Macron francia elnök bejelentette, hogy az Európai Unió 100 millió eurós speciális alapot hoz létre Ukrajna számára katonai felszerelés beszerzésére – számolt be a Jevropejszka pravda a Le Figaro-ra hivatkozva.
„Ez az alap lehetővé teszi számunkra, hogy folytassuk a fegyverek biztosítását” – mondta a francia elnök prágai sajtótájékoztatóján, ahol az Európai Tanács informális ülésére került sor.
Hozzátette, hogy az alap segítségével Ukrajna „közvetlenül a gyártóinktól vásárolhatja meg azokat a berendezéseket, eszközöket, amelyekre a legnagyobb szüksége van katonai ereje megerősítéséhez”.
Macron egyben megerősítette, hogy Franciaország tárgyalásokat folytat Dániával az általa vásárolt Caesar tarackok Ukrajnának való átadásáról.
„Mi készen állunk ezt megtenni, és a társfinanszírozást is vállaljuk. Ez lehetővé tenné, hogy összesen 6 tüzérségi rendszert szállítsunk Ukrajnának” – jegyezte meg a francia elnök.
