 Az október 18-án lejárt 2231-es ENSZ-határozatot 2015-ben fogadták el, amely része az iráni nukleáris programra válaszul bevezetett szankciórendszer cselekvési tervének.
 Oroszország tehát ezentúl „legálisan” vásárolhat rakétafegyvereket Irántól.
