Vlagyimir Putyin orosz diktátort nem érdeklik a béketárgyalások, a célja Ukrajna elpusztítása – jelentette ki szerdán Annalena Baerbock német külügyminiszternek egy televíziós interjúban, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint a német diplomácia vezetője az ARD német tévécsatornának nyilatkozva elmondta: „Nem akar tárgyalni, el akarja pusztítani Ukrajnát. Nem áll készen arra, hogy visszavonja a katonáit, nem áll készen arra, hogy abbahagyja a gyilkolást.” Hozzátette, hogy minden ország, amely úgy gondolta, hogy képes meggyőzni Putyint, és a békére késztetni, csalódottan vette észre, hogy ez lehetetlen.
A német külügyminiszter szerint „több mint 140 ország képviselői többször utaztak Moszkvába, hogy egyértelművé tegyék az orosz elnöknek, hogy a háború az egész világnak kárt okoz”, de nem vált valóra az a remény, hogy Putyin ezt megérti. Kína „béketervét” is értékelve Annalena Baerbock Oroszország Ukrajna elleni háborújával kapcsolatban megjegyezte, hogy az nem terv, hanem „álláspontot” kifejező dokumentum, a béketervet pedig 140 állam támogatta a múlt heti ENSZ-közgyűlésen.
