A képmutatás mintapéldája, ahogy a hollywoodi filmipar producerei megtiltották Volodimir Zelenszkij elnöknek, háborús nemzetvezetőnek, hogy beszédet mondjon az Oscar-gálán – jelentette ki szombaton Dmitro Kuleba külügyminiszter, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál a Bild című német lapra hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint az ukrán diplomácia vezetője élesen bírálta, hogy Zelenszkij nem szólalhat fel az Oscar-gála ünnepségén. „Azt gondolom, hogy ha A nyugati fronton a helyzet változatlan című film elnyeri a legjobb külföldi film Oscar-díját, és Zelenszkij elnököt, aki a háborúban álló országot vezeti, amely a második világháború óta a legnagyobb háborúban harcol Európában, nem engedik felszólalni az Oscaron, „akkor nincs is jobb példa a filmipar felső vezetőinek és producereinek képmutatására” – mutatott rá Dmitro Kuleba.
Mint ahogyan arról már korábban beszámoltunk, tegnap az Oscar visszautasította Zelenszkij ajánlkozását, hogy beszédet mond díjátadó ünnepségen. Azt is megjegyezte, hogy a Filmakadémia visszaeső, mert tavaly sem volt hajlandó közvetíteni az ukrán elnök videobeszédét.

Zelenszkij az elmúlt több mint egy évben a Berlinalén, a Golden Globe-díjátadón, a Grammy-gálán, valamint a Cannes-i és a Velencei Nemzetközi Filmfesztiválon is megkapta a lehetőséget arra, hogy szóljon az emberekhez, a vasárnapi Oscar-gálán azonban nem teheti ezt meg – írja a Variety.
Volodimir Zelenszkij a tavalyi Oscar-gálán sem mondhatott beszédet. Az Amerikai Filmakadémia nem indokolta meg a mostani döntését, a Variety azonban úgy értesült, hogy a közvélemény-kutatások alapján Ukrajna támogatottsága a háború kellős közepén egyre gyengül az amerikai emberek körében, ezért inkább eltekintenek Zelenszkij szerepeltetésétől a hétvégi díjátadó gálán.
Az Oscar-gála producere, Will Packer tavaly azért nem engedélyezte az ukrán államfő megjelenését, mert elmondása szerint fehér emberek közötti konfliktus zajlik Ukrajnában, és mivel a korábbi afrikai, ázsiai fegyveres összecsapások esetében sem adtak lehetőséget politikusoknak nagyszabású beszéd megtartására, Volodimir Zelenszkij esetében sem tesznek kivételt.
