A jelentés szerint az ukrán diplomácia vezetője elmondta: „A nukleáris fegyverekről. Úgy gondolom, hogy amikor az atomfegyverek használatának veszélyéről beszélünk, két dolgot kell szem előtt tartanunk. Az első az, hogy Oroszország a nukleáris érvet arra használja fel, hogy másokat megadásra késztessen, vagyis ez nyomás, így vagy úgy segít nekik.”
Ahogy a külügyminiszter megjegyezte, Oroszország nukleáris elrettentése a Nyugat által mindig is működött. „Ugyanakkor az orosz fenyegetések nem tántoríthatják el Ukrajnát és szövetségeseit attól, hogy a győzelem felé haladjanak, és helyreállítsák országunk területi integritását a nemzetközileg elismert határokon belül” – hangsúlyozta Dmitro Kuleba.
