„Az Állami Határőrség megkapta a Migrációs Osztály határozatát, amellyel engedélyezte, hogy Misov a választott lakóhelyén telepedjen le, és döntést hozott a Litván Köztársaságba való fogadásáról” – mondta a Határvédelmi Szolgálat képviselője.
Misov az orosz BBC-nek adott interjújában elmondta, hogy május 28-án az egyik balti országba menekült, és az interjú megjelenésének napján litván migrációs tisztviselőkhöz fordult.

Elmondása szerint az USA különbséget tesz az Oroszországi Föderáció kormányának intézkedései, az orosz fegyveres erők és az orosz nép között.
„Látjuk, hogy az elmúlt napokban folytatódtak a tüntetések Oroszországban. Ezért bárki, aki üldöztetés miatt menedéket kér – állampolgárságától függetlenül – menedékjogot kérhet az Egyesült Államokban, a kérelmet minden esetben megvizsgálják” – jelentette ki.
A szeptember 21-én Oroszországban meghirdetett részleges mozgósítás után az oroszok tömegesen kezdtek repülőjegy-vásárlásba, valamint szárazföldi úton próbálták elhagyni az országot. Kilométeres dugók alakultak ki a kazahsztáni, mongóliai és grúz határon. Egyes helyi sajtók jelentése szerint több mint 260 000 ember menekült el a mozgósítás bejelentése óta.
