Oroszország és Kína közös nyilatkozatot fogadott el „az új korszakba lépő nemzetközi kapcsolatokról és a globális fenntartható fejlődésről”. A dokumentumot pénteken tették közzé a Kreml honlapján. Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnök Pekingbe látogatott, ahol tárgyalt Hszi Csin-ping kínai elnökkel. Az orosz vezető vendégként részt vesz a XXIV. Téli Olimpiai Játékok megnyitóján is.







Oroszország és Kína a közös dokumentumban ellenzi azt, hogy az egyes államok a demokrácia fogalmát használják nyomásgyakorlásra más országokra. A nyilatkozatban leszögezik, hogy Kína megértéssel kezeli és támogatja az Oroszország által az európai biztonsági garanciák kialakítására vonatkozó javaslatokat.



A dokumentum leszögezi, hogy Oroszország és Kína barátságának nincsenek határai, az együttműködésben „nincs tiltott zóna”, és a kétoldalú stratégiai együttműködés erősítése nem irányul harmadik országok ellen.



Moszkva és Peking a közös nyilatkozatban ellenzi a NATO további bővítését.



Peking „érti és támogatja” az orosz javaslatokat a hosszú távú európai biztonsági garanciák kialakítására. Sürgették továbbá Washingtont, hogy hagyjon fel a fegyverkezéssel Európában és a csendes-óceáni térségben egyaránt. A felek elítélik az Egyesült Államok számos nemzetközi szerződésből való kilépését is.
