Az orosz állampolgárok nem teljesítették a lettországi tartózkodásuk meghosszabbításához szükséges feltételeket.
A hírt a Delfi közölte a migrációs és állampolgársági kérdésekkel foglalkozó hivatal vezetőjére hivatkozva.
Elmondása szerint mintegy 15 500 orosz állampolgár kért állandó tartózkodási engedélyt, és csaknem 3 000 személy ideiglenes tartózkodási engedélyt. Hozzátette ugyanakkor, hogy mintegy 2200 ember nem tette meg a szükséges lépéseket Lettországban tartózkodásának meghosszabbítása érdekében. Ez azonban még nem a végleges adat, mivel az emberek folyamatosan nyújtják be a dokumentumokat.

Andrij Jermak, az Elnöki Hivatal vezetője felszólított Ukrajna szövetségeseit, hogy tiltsák meg az orosz állampolgárok beutazását az európai országokba, hogy minden orosz érzékelje a háború árát – számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál az elnöki hivatalvezető Telegram-közlésére hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint Jermak azt írta: „Az oroszoknak meg kell tiltani az európai országok látogatását. A szankcióknak szigorúaknak kell lenniük, hogy mindegyikük érezze a háború árát.”
A hírportál emlékeztetett arra, hogy Oroszország Ukrajna elleni teljes körű inváziója után az európai országok továbbra is nehezítik az orosz turisták utazását. Elsősorban Bulgária a közelmúltban növelte a többszöri belépésre jogosító vízumok oroszok számára történő kiadását.
Eközben Franciaország vízumközpontja előleget kezdett követelni azoktól az oroszoktól, hogy fogadják őket a kirendeltségen. Ukrajna azonban nehezményezi, hogy még mindig vannak olyan európai uniós tagországok, amelyek könnyen adnak vízumot az oroszoknak.
