Elmondta, hogy 150 ezer nemrégiben besorozott katonát még nem küldtek a frontra, miután szeptemberben és októberben több mint 300 ezer tartalékost hívtak be a szeptember 21-én bejelentett részleges mozgósítás keretében. (Ami azt is jelentheti, hogy 150 ezer frissen behívott tartalékos már Ukrajnában harcolhat vagy harcolhatott.)
A Reuters tudósítása szerint Putyin arról is beszélt, hogy lehetnek további fogolycserék az Egyesült Államok és Oroszország között, és hogy a két ország hírszerzése között9 kapcsolat folytatódik.
