Szombaton Trump a közösségi hálón bejelentette, hogy Jeff Landryvel, Louisiana kormányzójával és grönlandi különmegbízottjával együttműködve kórházhajót küld Grönlandra, hogy segítsenek „a sok beteg emberen, akik nem kapják meg a szükséges kezelést”.
„Tudomásul vettük Trump elnök javaslatát, hogy amerikai orvosi hajót küldjenek Grönlandra. De van egy olyan egészségügyi rendszerünk, amely szerint a gyógykezelés ingyenes a polgárok számára. Ez egy tudatos döntés” – írta a grönlandi miniszterelnök.
