Halla-aho összesen hat uniós ország szóvivőjével és a NATO Parlamenti Közgyűlésének elnökével együtt beszélt szombaton a Radában.



Jussi Halla-aho azzal kezdte, hogy emlékeztetett arra, hogy Finnország 1939-ben ugyanazzal az agressziójával nézett szembe, mint most Ukrajna, és február 24-én a finnek visszaemlékeztek a történtekre.



Csalódottságának adott hangot amiatt, hogy a „hidegháború” vége és a Szovjetunió összeomlása után Oroszország semmit nem változott. Megjegyezte, hogy Ukrajna hősies ellenállása cselekvésre ösztönözte és bátorságot adott Finnországnak – nyilván utalva a NATO-csatlakozási döntésre és az Ukrajnának nyújtott katonai segélyekre.



A beszéd során az ukrán képviselők sokszor tapssal szakították félbe a tisztviselőt.
