Március 10-én a Miniszteri Kabinet Jurij Poljuhovicsot nevezte ki Ukrajna ideiglenesen megbízott oktatási miniszterévé. Poljuhovics eddig Hanna Novoszad első helyetteseként tevékenykedett.
Az új oktatási
miniszter 1980. november 1-jén született a Rivne megyei
Kosztopiljban. 2003-ban végezte el a mesterképzést a
Kijevi-Mohiljanszka Akadémia történelem szakán. 2009–2012
között a Kijevi Tarasz Sevcsenko Nemzeti Egyetemen vett részt
PhD-képzésben (aszpirantúrán), s megszerezte a
történelemtudományok kandidátusa címet. Több mint negyven
tudományos publikáció szerzője.
Poljuhovics Jurij
2000 óta képviseli Ukrajnát a maja kultúra kutatóinak európai
szövetségében (WAYEB). 2014–2016 között egy kaliforniai
egyetem tudományos munkatársaként tevékenykedett, ezenkívül a
mexikói Nemzeti Őstörténeti és Történeti Intézetben is
dolgozott, az USA-beli Glyph Dwellers tudományos folyóiratnak
jelenleg is a főszerkesztő-helyettese.
Jelentős
tapasztalattal rendelkezik a magáncégekkel való munka terén, ahol
főként innovációs fejlesztésekkel foglalkozott. 2017-től az
Ukrán Tudományos–Kutatási Alapítvány vezetője.
2014–2016 folyamán az ukrán oktatási miniszter tanácsadója volt, s 2019. szeptember 11-én kinevezték Hanna Novoszad, Ukrajna tizenegyedik ukrán oktatási miniszterének első helyettesévé. Ukrajna Oktatási és Tudományos Minisztériuma mellett a Sevcsenko-egyetem mesterképzésén tart előadásokat.
Folyékonyan
beszél angolul, spanyolul, továbbá elsajátította a klasszikus
hieroglifikus majaírás nyelvét is.
