Az államfő a Twitteren üdvözölte, hogy a holland képviselőház népirtásnak ismerte el a Holodomort.
„Nevén nevezni a dolgokat – kulcsfontosságú előfeltétele az igazságszolgáltatásnak és az ilyen szörnyű bűnök megismétlődésének megakadályozásának” – kommentálta az elnök.
Zelenszkij külön köszönetet mondott Hollandiának, amiért erős és átfogó támogatást nyújt Ukrajnának a jövőjéért és az egész szabad világ jövőjéért folytatott harcában.
Dmitro Kuleba, a Külügyminisztérium vezetője „fontos lépésnek” nevezte a döntést a történelmi igazság meghatározásában.
„Hálás vagyok Hollandiának, amiért határozottan foglalt állást a múltbeli és jelenlegi bűnök elkövetői felelősségre vonása iránt” – írta Kuleba Twitteren.

A holland nos.nl beszámolója szerint a képviselőket Volodimir Zelenszkij ukrán elnök kabinetfőnök-helyettese, Ihor Zsovka fogadta. Az ukrán tisztviselő megköszönte az eddigi támogatást, és azt kérte, hogy a jövőben is segítsék őket, küldjenek még több fegyvert.
