Az Európai Unió 500 millió eurós pénzügyi támogatást utalt ki Ukrajnának, de az összeg nem használható fel harci repülőgépek Ukrajnába küldésének a finanszírozására – jelentette ki Charles Michel, az Európa Tanács elnöke egy vasárnapi lapinterjúban, adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál.







A jelentés szerint Michel a Le Journal du Dimanche című francia lapnak nyilatkozva elmondta: „az EU 500 millió eurót mozgósított, ebből 450 milliót halált okozó eszközökre, míg 50 milliót nem halálos anyagokra. Ez az első alkalom, hogy pénzt különítettünk el halálos katonai felszerelések szállítására.” Ugyanakkor hangsúlyozta: „ezekből az európai forrásokból azonban nem a finanszírozható harci repülőgépek szállítása Ukrajnának.”
