Olekszij Danilov, a Nemzetbiztonsági és Védelmi Tanács (RNBO) egy szombati lapinterjúban kijelentette, hogy az Ukrajna elleni teljes körű orosz invázió kezdete óta ötször kísérelték meg Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök meggyilkolását – adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Danilov a The Globe and Mail című kanadai lapnak nyilatkozva elmondta, hogy a Zelenszkij elleni merényletek mindegyikét február végén és március elején követték el. Az RNBO-titkár azonban nem árult el részleteket az elnök elleni merényletkísérletekről.
Mint hírportálunk március 9-én beszámolt róla, Mihajlo Podoljak, az Elnöki Hivatal vezetőjének tanácsadója bejelentette, hogy Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök ellen az ukrán–orosz háború kezdete óta több mint egy tucat merényletkísérlet történt, de sikerült minden merénylőt már azelőtt likvidálni, hogy az államfő közelébe juthatott volna. Mint elmondta, „külföldi partnereink két-három merényletkísérletről beszélnek. Úgy gondolom, hogy több mint egy tucat ilyen próbálkozás volt. Ugyanis állandóan vannak operatív információink arról, hogy diverzáns csoportok akarnak behatolni a kormányzati negyedbe.” A tanácsadó egyéb részleteket biztonsági okokból nem árult el.
