A tudósítás szerint az ukrán diplomácia vezetője az ukrán televízió non-stop háborús műsorában nyilatkozva elmondta: „a határozat (a hatodik szankciócsomagról – a szerk.) megszületett, ez nagyon jó. A veszélyes precedens, hogy ezzel a döntéssel külön rendszert hoztak létre azon országok számára, amelyek a Barátság vezeték déli ágán kapják a kőolajat.” Hozzátette, ezek az országok: Magyarország, Csehország, Szlovákia.
A külügyminiszter szerint a veszély az, hogy ezentúl bármilyen szankciók megvitatásához precedens teremtődött, amikor bizonyos országok számára létezik külön rendszer. „Az új korlátozások ilyen feltételei sértik az egész Európai Unió egységét. Ezért a jövőben azon kell dolgozni, hogy az Oroszország elleni hetedik szankciócsomagban ne szerepeljenek ilyen kivételek” – figyelmeztetett Dmitro Kuleba.
