A mexikói szenátus csütörtökön jóváhagyta a marihuána legalizálásáról szóló törvénytervezetet – jelentették be hivatalosan.



A tervezet szerint minden 18 éven felüli állampolgár birtokolhat 28 gramm vadkendert, és minden háztartásban termeszthetnek hat tövet a növényből.



A tervezetet a képviselőháznak is jóvá kell hagynia ahhoz, hogy törvénnyé váljon.



Az ország legfelsőbb bírósága 2018-ban hozta meg azt az ítéletét, hogy a rekreációs célú marihuána teljes tiltása alkotmányellenes, de másfelől korlátozni kell a használatát.
