Umerov védelmi miniszter és Landsbergis litván külügyminiszter Kijevben találkozott azért, hogy megvitassák a haditechnikai együttműködés lehetőségét.
A találkozón Umerov köszönetet mondott Litvánia kormányának és népének az Ukrajnának nyújtott támogatásért, különösen az aknamentesítéssel kapcsolatos vezető szerepéért, és tájékoztatta a litván külügyminisztérium vezetőjét a frontvonalbeli helyzetről.
„Megvitattuk a katonai tapasztalatcsere és a haditechnikai együttműködés lehetőségét. Javasoltam egy közös fórum szervezését Ukrajna és a balti államok között a védelmi ipar kérdéseiről, amely vezető gyártók és befektetők részvételével zajlana” – számolt be a találkozó részleteiről Umerov.
Nem ez az első eset, hogy a két ország képviselője egyeztetett egymással: korábban Dmitro Kuleba ukrán külügyminiszter és Gabrielius Landsbergis drónok közös gyártásáról tárgyalt – írja az Ukrajinszka Pravda.
