A jelentés szerint az amerikai médium jelezte, hogy kijevi látogatása során az Egyesült Államok külügyminisztere találkozik Volodimir Zelenszkij elnökkel és Dmitro Kuleba külügyminiszterrel. Az amerikai külügyminisztérium névtelenül nyilatkozó magas rangú tisztviselője szerint a látogatás során az államtitkár több mint egymilliárd dolláros új finanszírozást is bejelent Ukrajna számára.
Antony Blinken amerikai külügyminiszter szerdán hivatalos látogatásra érkezett Ukrajnába. A látogatásról szóló információkat biztonsági okokból titokban tartották. Már reggeltől részben leállították a forgalmat Kijev központjában, ami általában nemzetközi vezetők vagy delegációk látogatásakor történik.
