Az Egyesült Államok Patriot légvédelmi rakétarendszereket ad Ukrajnának a szenátusa által csütörtökön jóváhagyott, 40 milliárd dolláros új segélycsomag részeként – értesült pénteken a The Washington Post című amerikai lap, adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint a tegnap jóváhagyott új segélycsomag 20 milliárd dollár összegű katonai segítséget irányoz elő Ukrajnának. Ebből az összegből az újság szerint olyan fegyverrendszerek átadását tervezik az ukrán hadseregnek, mint a Patriot légvédelmi rakétarendszerek és nagy hatótávolságú tüzérségi fegyverek.
A csomag a The Washington Post szerint több mint 8 milliárd dolláros általános gazdasági támogatást is tartalmaz Ukrajnának, csaknem 5 milliárd dollár globális élelmiszersegélyt és több mint egymilliárd dollárnyi támogatást a menekülteknek.
Mint hírportálunk csütörtökön beszámolt róla, az Egyesült Államok szenátusa megszavazta további 40 milliárd dollár támogatás kiutalását Ukrajnának, a pénzt katonai és humanitárius segélyekre költik majd.
