Litvánia újabb katonai segélyt küldött Ukrajnának az Oroszország elleni küzdelemhez – jelentette be csütörtökön a vilniusi védelmi tárca.
A tájékoztatás szerint az ukrán hadsereg lőszert és felszerelést kapott a drónok elleni harcra. Emellett összecsukható ágyakat is szállítottak. Az újabb segély értékét a dokumentumban nem közölték.

Július 6-án, szombaton a Patriot légvédelmi rendszert szállító hajó megérkezett Hollandiából a litván klaipedai kikötőbe. A hírt a Jevropejszka pravda közölte.
A Patriot rendszert a BALTCON24 gyakorlat részeként telepítik a Šiauliai légibázison.
A gyakorlaton részt vesz a litván légierő légvédelmi zászlóalja a NASAMS közepes hatótávolságú légvédelmi rendszerrel, a Holland Királyi Légierő Patriot légvédelmi rendszere, spanyol és portugál vadászgépek és a légierő légi hadműveleti központja.
A gyakorlatok legfontosabb feladatai az ellenséges repülőgépek felderítése, amelyek repülőgépek, helikopterek, vadászgépek és drónok tevékenységét szimulálják.

A litván védelmi minisztérium alá tartozó Védelmi Erőforrások Ügynöksége csaknem 36 millió euró értékben írt alá szerződéseket különböző típusú drónok vásárlására.
Ezek különösen a lett Edge Autonomy cég kis felderítő drónjai és az észt Threod Systems cég felderítő minidrónjai, valamint az UAB Deftools litván quadcopterei.
A drónok túlnyomó többségét idén ősszel, a többit 2025 elején kell leszállítani.

Litvánia páncélozott szállító harcjárműveket szállít Ukrajnának.
A vilniusi kormány szerdán 14 darab M113 típusú amerikai lánctalpas páncélozott szállító harcjármű átadásáról döntött Ukrajna számára. Az M113-asokat már a héten leszállítják.
A litván védelmi minisztérium közlése szerint a harcjárművek az ukrán hadsereg aknamentesítési képességeit fogják tudni növelni.

A litván fegyveres erők Mercedes-Benz G 350 típusú katonai terepjárókat kaptak.
Amint azt a védelmi minisztérium jelezte, ezeket a járműveket békeidőbeli feladatok ellátására, hátsó logisztikai és egyéb műveletek elvégzésére használják majd.
A terepjárók vásárlásáról szóló szerződést 2022-ben írták alá, az első tételt tavaly ősszel szállították le a hadseregnek, a többit pedig most kapták meg.
A terepjárók szállítására vonatkozó szerződés összértéke mintegy 32 millió euró.

Litvánia csaknem egyharmadával növelni kívánja hadseregének létszámát – áll a parlament által tárgyalásba vett, a hadsereg 2025. évi szervezeteiről szóló dokumentumban.
A 141 tagú parlament plenáris ülésén a javaslat tárgyalásba vételét a jelen lévő képviselők közül 91 támogatta, egy ellenezte, tizenegyen pedig tartózkodtak. A dokumentum szerint a hadsereg létszámának felső határát a jelenlegi 20 840-ről 29 380-ra kívánják emelni. Az évente behívhatók száma 4240-ről 7040-re emelkedik.
Jelentős létszámnöveléssel jár a gépesített gyalogsági hadosztály létrehozása, amelyen belül működni fog egy – német gyártmányú – Leopard 2 harckocsikkal felszerelt harckocsizászlóalj, amelybe beszervezik a Mindaugas litván nagyfejedelemről elnevezett huszárzászlóaljat. A hadosztály része lesz egy tüzérségi ezred is. A légvédelmi és a hadmérnöki zászlóaljakat ezredekké szervezik át. Jelenleg a litván hadseregben a legnagyobb egység a dandár.

Litvánia kész katonai oktatókat küldeni az ukrán katonák kiképzésére. De eddig nem érkezett ilyen kérés Kijevből. Ezt Ingrid Šimonite litván miniszterelnök nyilatkozta – írja a Bloomberg.

Litvánia kormánya jóváhagyta az Igazságügyi Minisztérium javaslatát az Oroszországi Föderációval kötött, a polgári, családi és büntetőügyekben folytatott jogsegélyről és jogviszonyokról szóló nemzetközi megállapodás felmondására. A hírt a Delfi közölte.
