Olaf Scholz német kancellár kijelentette, hogy az Európai Unió szándékosan zárta ki az energiaszállítást az Oroszország elleni szankciók közül, mivel egyelőre nincs más mód Európa energiaellátásának biztosítására – adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál hétfőn a Die Welt című német lapra hivatkozva.
Mint Scholz rámutatott: „jelenleg Európa energiaellátása, amely biztosítja hőtermelést, mobilitást, villamos- és ipari energiaellátást nem oldható meg más módon.” Azt is hangsúlyozta, hogy az energiaellátás elengedhetetlen a közszolgáltatások biztosításához és a német állampolgárok mindennapi életéhez. „Európa szándékosan zárta ki a szankciók közül az oroszországi energiaellátást. Minden lépésünk úgy van kidolgozva, hogy súlyos csapást mérjen Oroszországra, és hosszú távon fenntartható legyen” – magyarázta.
A kancellár ugyanakkor kiemelte, hogy a német kormány több hónapja gőzerővel dolgozik uniós és külföldi partnereivel az orosz energiaszállítás alternatíváinak kidolgozásán. „Ezt azonban nem lehet azonnal megtenni. Ezért tudatos döntést hoztunk, hogy folytatjuk a kereskedelmi vállalkozások tevékenységét az energiaellátás területén Oroszországgal” – mondta Olaf Scholz.
