Jens Stoltenberg NATO-főtitkár nem tartja jelentősnek annak a kockázatát, hogy Oroszország nukleáris fegyvereket vetne be.
A hírt a Handelsblattnak adott interjújában közölte.
A nukleáris eszkaláció kockázatával kapcsolatban, amelyre Olaf Scholz német kancellár többször is rámutatott, Stoltenberg azt mondta: „A nukleáris fegyverek használatának kockázata alacsony.”
Elmondása szerint Kína és más országok jelzést küldtek Oroszországnak, „hogy az atomfegyver bevetése nem történhet meg”.

Oroszország újra előveszi a nukleáris fegyverek bevetésével kapcsolatos fenyegetéseit, amikor kétségbeesik, hogy a dolgok már nem úgy mennek, ahogy szeretné – jelentette be Josep Borrell, az európai diplomácia vezetője, számolt be a LIGA.net.
„Nyilvánvaló, hogy aki meggondolatlanul megsérti az ENSZ Alapokmányát és a nemzetközi jogot, és kétségbeesik, ha a dolgok nem úgy mennek, ahogy akarja, az nem fog habozni azzal fenyegetőzni, hogy mindent felhasznál, ami az arzenáljában van” – jelentette ki a diplomata.
Hangsúlyozta: az EU és a nemzetközi közösség többsége elutasítja Oroszország felelőtlen nukleáris zsarolását.
„És remélem, hogy azok, akik Moszkvában döntéseket hoznak az atomfegyverek lehetséges használatáról, meghallották ezt” – tette hozzá Borrell.

Oroszország nem fog többé létezni, ha beveti a nukleáris fegyvereit, megszűnik a mostani világ, amelyben élünk, és elkezdődik a harmadik világháború – jelentette ki Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök csütörtökön Kijevben a görög kollégájával, Katerine Sakellaropoulouval közösen tartott sajtótájékoztatóján, adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint az elnök elmondta, hogy szerinte, ha Oroszország atomfegyvert használ, akkor „a világ, amelyben élünk” megszűnik létezni, és elkezdődik a harmadik világháború. „Lesz egy másik világ, amelyben biztosan nem lesz olyan állam, amely az atomfegyvert használta. És itt nem az a kérdés, hogy valaki reagál a nukleáris csapásokra, hanem a kérdés ebben az államban van.”
Az államfő megérzése szerint „ezek nem fogják tudni megtartani az államukat sem vagy az államokon belüli politikai pozícióikat.” Azt gondolom, hogy egymásnak esnek az államukon belüli forradalmi folyamatokban – jelezte előre. „Ezért nem veszem komolyan ezt (a nukleáris csapás lehetőségét – a szerk.). Bár ha megnézem, milyen lépéseket tett Oroszország a mi földünkön megtett lépések nem nevezhetők adekvátaknak” – jegyezte meg Volodimir Zelenszkij.

A hírt a Newsweek kiadvány közölte a finn sajtóra hivatkozva.
