Svédország és Finnország teljesítette azokat a vállalásokat, amelyeket a NATO-csatlakozásuk kapcsán Törökországnak tett, különös tekintettel Ankarának a terrorizmus elleni harccal kapcsolatos aggályaira – jelentette ki Jens Stoltenberg NATO-főtitkár csütörtökön Isztambulban, a Mevlüt Cavusoglu török külügyminiszterrel folytatott tárgyalásokat követő közös sajtótájékoztatón.
Stoltenberg aláhúzta: Stockholm és Helsinki fokozta együttműködését Törökországgal a terrorizmus elleni harc terén, és tartós mechanizmus jött létre. Példaként említette, hogy Svédország új törvényeket is életbe léptetett ennek érdekében.
A NATO-főtitkár többször leszögezte: most már eljött az idő, hogy Svédország és Finnország a közeljövőben a szövetség teljes jogú tagja legyen. Nagyon fontos, hogy ebben a nehéz időben lezárjuk a csatlakozásukat – hangoztatta.
Ankara azzal vádolja Svédországot és Finnországot, hogy a török vezetés által terroristáknak tartott csoportokat támogatnak, többek között a Kurdisztáni Munkáspártot (PKK). A PKK-t az Egyesült Államok és az Európai Unió is terrorszervezetnek nyilvánította.
Cavusoglu a sajtótájékoztatón azt nehezményezte, hogy – szerinte – Svédország és Finnország még nem hajtotta végre minden pontját teljesen annak a háromoldalú memorandumnak, amelyet júniusban írtak alá a terrorizmus elleni harc ügyében. Azt hangoztatta, hogy Ankara konkrét lépéseket szeretne látni.
A török diplomácia vezetője ugyanakkor elismerte, hogy az új svéd kormány eltökéltebb a memorandum teljesítését illetően. Jelezte egyúttal: Recep Tayyip Erdogan török elnök november 8-án Ankarában fogadja Ulf Kristersson svéd miniszterelnököt.
Stoltenberg, aki háromnapos hivatalosra látogatásra érkezett csütörtökön Törökországba, pénteken Erdogannal is találkozik Isztambulban.

Paul Johnson svéd védelmi miniszter a Dagens Nyheternek adott interjújában kijelentette, hogy országa azt tervezi, új védelmi politikája szemléltetésére Ukrajnát modernebb fegyverekkel látja el – számolt be az UNN.
„A svéd parlament jóváhagyta, hogy a jövőben az ország több fegyvert szállít Ukrajnába. Eddig leginkább páncéltörőket és robotfegyvereket adtunk át. A kormány csütörtökön kapott egy titkos dokumentumot a védelmi hatóságoktól, amely meghatározza, hogy Svédország milyen nehézfegyvereket szállíthat. Megvolt az első kétoldalú találkozóm Ukrajna védelmi miniszterével, Olekszij Reznyikovval. Ukrajnának fejlettebb légvédelmi rendszerekre van szüksége” – mondta Johnson.
Felvetette, hogy Stockholm biztosíthatná Ukrajnának az RBS 70 légvédelmi rendszert, amelyet a svéd fegyveres erők már nem használnak. Johnson hozzátette, hogy mivel Oroszország fokozza háborúját, fontos, hogy Ukrajnát fejlett fegyverrendszerekkel, valamint nehézfegyverekkel lássák el.
A miniszter elmondása szerint az Ukrajna által megadott listán szerepel a svéd Bofors cég Archer kerekes önjáró fegyver is. Hozzátette: a Svédország által szállítható fegyverek listájáról, a kiképzési lehetőségekről és különböző alapok támogatásáról a minisztérium azt követően ad tájékoztatást, miután áttekintette a fegyveres erők által összeállított dokumentumokat.

„Elképzelhetetlen, hogy a szövetségesek ne lépjenek, ha Svédország vagy Finnország bárminemű nyomás alá kerül” – közölte Stoltenberg az Ulf Kristersson svéd miniszterelnökkel tartott közös sajtótájékoztatóján. A szervezetet életre hívó szerződés 11. cikkelye egyébként úgy fogalmaz, hogy „a Szerződés az azt megerősítő államok között életbe lép, mihelyt az aláíró államok többsége, közöttük Belgium, Kanada, Franciaország, Luxemburg, Hollandia, az Egyesült Királyság és az Egyesült Államok megerősítő okirataikat letétbe helyezték; a többi aláíró állammal a szerződés megerősítő okirataik letételének napján lép életbe.”
Figyelembe véve, hogy már csak két tagállam, Törökország és Magyarország nem ratifikálta a két skandináv állam csatlakozását, így a 11. cikkely értelmében a többiek esetében hatályba lépett a szerződés.

Megválasztotta a svéd parlament hétfőn miniszterelnöknek a konzervatív Mérsékelt Pártot vezető Ulf Kristerssont, aki hárompárti koalíció élén fog kormányozni.
A Mérsékelt Párt a Kereszténydemokratákkal és a Liberálisokkal tudott megállapodni kisebbségi kormány megalakításáról. A kabinetet a bevándorlásellenes, nacionalista Svéd Demokraták párt kívülről támogatja majd a megállapodás értelmében, cserébe ezért beleszólást kapnak a kormányzati döntésekbe.
A 349 fős törvényhozásban 176-an szavaztak Kristersson mellett és 173-an ellene.

Svédország közölte, hogy nem fogja megosztani az Északi Áramlat gázvezetékek elleni szabotázzsal kapcsolatos nyomozásának eredményeit Oroszországgal – írta meg a Reuters. A svéd miniszterelnök, Magdalena Andersson kijelentette, hogy a dokumentumokat sem a Gazprommal, sem az orosz hatóságokkal nem fogják megosztani.
Az Oroszországból Európába tartó Északi Áramlat 1-es és 2-es gázvezetékeken a svéd helyszíni vizsgálat robbanások nyomati tárta fel.
Az ügyészek szabotázs akcióra gyanakszanak.
A múlt héten Mihail Misusztyin orosz miniszterelnök levelet küldött a svéd kormánynak, amiben követelte, hogy Svédország engedje be a vizeire az orosz hatóságokat és a Gazprom szakembereit, hogy elvégezhessék a saját felmérésüket a szivárgásokkal kapcsolatban. Stockholm megtagadta ezt a követelést.
Andersson azt mondta, hogy országa sem most, sem a jövőben nem fogja megosztani az oroszokkal a svéd gazdasági övezetben történt robbanások eredményeit.
Svédországban az előzetes vizsgálatok eredményei bizalmasak, és ez természetesen erre az esetre is vonatkozik – mondta a miniszterelnök. Andersson hozzátette, hogy országának ahhoz nincs elég ereje, hogy megállítsa az orosz hajókat, ha azok a tiltás ellenére behatolnának a robbanások helyszínére.
A Nyugat és Moszkva egymást vádolják azzal, hogy felrobbantották a gázvezetékeket. Moszkva az Egyesült Államokat is bevonta a történetbe, mondván az ő érdekük lehetett leginkább, a gyanút pedig erősíthette, hogy a robbanástól mindössze négy kilométerre repült el az amerikai haditengerészet kötelékébe tartozó repülő.

Nagy többséggel jóváhagyta a szlovák parlament kedden Finnország és Svédország NATO-csatlakozási jegyzőkönyvét.
A 150 fős pozsonyi törvényhozásban a két dokumentumot a TASR szlovák hírügynökség jelentése szerint126, illetve 124 igen szavazattal fogadták el. Az ellenzéki pártok képviselőinek többsége is megszavazta, az egyértelműen NATO- és EU-tagság elleni, radikális jobboldali Mi Szlovákiánk – Néppárt (LSNS) listáján mandátumot szerzett képviselők kivételével.
A ratifikációs határozatot még Zuzana Caputová államfőnek is jóvá kell hagynia, ez azonban az általános várakozás szerint már csak formaságnak számít.
A két északi ország idén májusban kérelmezte felvételét az észak-atlanti szövetségbe az ukrajnai háborúval összefüggésben. Csatlakozásukat az összes NATO-tagországnak jóvá kell hagynia.
Az Eduard Heger vezette pozsonyi kormány már korábban teljes támogatásáról biztosította Finnország és Svédország csatlakozását, a kabinet által jóváhagyott dokumentumban azt írták, hogy a két állam NATO-ba lépése egyidejűleg erősíti majd az észak-atlanti stabilitást és Szlovákia biztonságát is.
A kormányfő kedden „felelősségteljes lépésnek” a csatlakozás jóváhagyását, s annak a véleményének adott hangot, hogy „a szövetség ajtaját nyitva kell tartani azon további szövetségesek előtt, akik számára a béke és a szabadság az első helyen van”.

A konzervatívok között számontartott politikus próbálhat kormányzóképes koalíciót összeállítani Svédországban.
A konzervatív Mérsékelt Párt elnöke, Ulf Kristersson kapott megbízást Svédországban arra, hogy megpróbáljon kormányzásra képes koalíciót összeállítani – közölte hétfői sajtótájékoztatóján a parlament elnöke. Andreas Norlén hozzátette, olyan kormány megalakítása a cél, amely valamennyi parlamenti erő számára elfogadható lenne.
A svéd választási bizottság adatai szerint a szeptember 11-én tartott választáson a Mérsékelt Pártból, a radikális Svéd Demokratákból, a Kereszténydemokratákból és a Liberálisokból álló jobboldali tömb együttesen 176 helyet szerzett a 349 tagú parlamentben, csekély előnnyel megelőzve a 173 mandátumhoz jutó balközép pártokat.
Ulf Kristersson első nyilatkozatában időt kért, hogy sikeres tárgyalásokat folytathasson le. A fejtörést az okozza, bevegyék-e a kormányba a Jimmie Akesson vezette Svéd Demokratákat, amely szeretne belépni, de a többi három párt ezt ellenzi. Akesson azt mondta, hogy a tárgyalások máris jól haladnak, és egy csomagban igyekeznek megtárgyalni az összes nyitott kérdést.
Az elemzők a legvalószínűbb forgatókönyvnek azt tartják, hogy a Mérsékelt Párt, a Kereszténydemokraták és a liberális párt alakítana kisebbségi kormányt, amelyet kívülről támogathatnának a Svéd Demokraták. Szavazataiért cserébe a radikális párt jelentős befolyást gyakorolhatna a kormányzati döntésekre a számára fontos témákban.
Az új kormány leghamarabb a parlament őszi ülésszakának kezdetén, szeptember 27-én alakulhat meg. Addig a leköszönő miniszterelnök, a szociáldemokrata pártot vezető Magdalena Andersson marad az ügyvezető kormányfő.

Finnország miniszterelnöke, Sanna Marin úgy véli, az Oroszországi Föderációval kötött vízumrendszer egyszerűsítéséről szóló megállapodás felfüggesztése nem elég, meg kell tiltani az oroszok turisztikai célú beutazását az EU-ba.
Marin hangsúlyozta, hogy az EU-nak készen kell állnia az Oroszország elleni szankciók szigorítására, hogy a szankciók az orosz állampolgárok mindennapi életében „megjelenjenek”.
„Helytelen, hogy miközben Oroszország civileket gyilkol Ukrajnában, az oroszok szabadon utazhatnak Európában. Jelentősen korlátoznunk kell a vízumok kiadását. A vízumkönnyítési megállapodás felfüggesztése jó, de nem elég” – jelentette ki.

Svédországban a várakozásoknak megfelelő eredményeket mutatnak a parlamenti választások lezárultával közzétett első exit pollok.
A szavazóhelyiségeknél készített közvéleménykutatások szerint az eddig kisebbségben kormányzó szociáldemokraták szerzik a legtöbb szavazatot, a jobboldali populista Svéd Demokraták pedig minden korábbinál több voksra számíthatnak. Övék lehet a második legnagyobb frakció az új svéd törvényhozásban.
Egyelőre úgy néz ki, hogy a rendkívül népszerű miniszterelnök, Magdalena Andersson kormányát támogató pártok most is biztosíthatják majd a kormányzáshoz szükséges parlamenti többséget.
Az intézetek ugyanakkor arra figyelmeztetnek, hogy miután az első exit pollok mindössze 3 mandátum különbséget mutattak a szociáldemokraták és a svéd demokraták vezette blokkok között, a végleges eredmény még fordíthat a helyzeten.
A vasárnapi svédországi általános választásokon négy baloldali és négy konzervatív párt versengett a 349 fős törvényhozás mandátumaiért. A részvételi arány ezúttal valamivel kisebbnek ígérkezik, mint az megszokott, de nagyságrendi különbséget nem jeleznek az intézetek. A legutóbbi parlamenti választásokon a szavazásra jogosultak 90 százaléka leadta voksát.
A kormányfő töretlenül népszerű, a populisták egyre szalonképesebbek
Anderssen kevesebb mint egy éve, kormányválsággal került a kabinet élére, mint Svédország első női miniszterelnöke. Ő intézte az ország történelmi jelentőségű NATO-csatlakozási kérelmét, miután Oroszország februárban megszállta Ukrajnát. A kutatások azt mutatják, hogy a svédek bíznak benne.
A jobboldali Svéd Demokraták 2010-ben kerültek be a parlamentbe, és minden egyes választáson egyre több szavazatot szereztek. A párt malmára hajtotta a vizet a 2015-ös európai migrációs válság, amely azóta is megoldatlan helyzetet teremtett, illetve az, hogy egyre gyakoribbá váltak az erőszakos demonstrációk, egyre több lett a bűncselekmény is a svéd nagyvárosok bevándorlók lakta negyedeiben.
A párt radikális nacionalista mozgalomban gyökerezik, de egy ideje szorítja ki a szélsőségeseket, hogy szélesedjen szavazói bázisa. Ennek ellenére a svédek többsége elutasította, és a politikai pártok is kerülték az együttműködést. Az exit pollok tanúsága szerint ez most változóban van.
