На тлі нових звернень до західних країн щодо надання винищувачів Словаччина розглядає можливість надати Україні 10 із 11 своїх літаків МіГ-29 радянського виробництва, які було знято з озброєння минулого року.
Про це в інтерв’ю агенції AP заявив міністр оборони Словаччини Ярослав Надь.
„Ми більше ніколи не будемо використовувати МіГи. Вони не мають для нас реальної цінності. Якщо ми віддамо їх Україні, вони можуть допомогти врятувати їхні життя”, – пояснив він.
За словами Надя, останній, 11-ий радянський винищувач планується передати словацькому музею.
Очікується, що остаточне рішення про надання Україні МіГ-29 буде ухвалене протягом декількох днів або тижнів, зазначає AP. У такому разі Словаччина стане першим членом НАТО, який передасть Києву бойову авіацію.

Словаччина планує передати Україні свої винищувачі МіГ-29 вже наступного місяця.
Про це у Twitter повідомляє „Visegrád 24” з посиланням на міністра оборони країни.
Так, постачання розпочнеться у вересні. Кількість літаків поки не називають, але відомо, що Словаччина зараз має близько 12 винищувачів.
Окрім літаків, Словаччина також обіцяла передати Україні танки T-72M.
Для довідки, МіГ-29 – це багатоцільовий радянський винищувач четвертого покоління. Він був основним багатоцільовим винищувачем країн Варшавського договору та СРСР протягом 80-х років XX ст. Наразі МіГ-29 перебуває на озброєнні багатьох країн світу, включаючи Україну. Винищувач має понад 15 модифікацій.

Словаччина має намір передати Україні свої радянські винищувачі МіГ-29. Передача літаків може відбутися після того, як уряд країни домовиться про захист свого повітряного простору з Польщею і Чехією.
Про це повідомляє Business Insider.
Раніше також повідомлялося, що Словаччина повинна була відправити Україні 30 танків Т-72 і натомість отримати від Німеччини Leopard 2A4. Словаччині було запропоновано тільки 15 німецьких танків. На думку Міністерства оборони, це нерівносильний обмін, тому запланована угода зірвалася.
