A Fehéroroszországban tartózkodó vagy az országba utazást tervező amerikai állampolgároknak tisztában kell lenniük azzal, hogy a helyzet kiszámíthatatlan, és a régióban fokozott a feszültség. Az Egyesült Államok attól tart, hogy az újabb invázió céljából Oroszország bevonja az Ukrajna közelében állomásozó csapatokat.
Az Egyesült Államok külügyminisztériuma arra kötelezte az amerikai diplomaták családjait, hogy hagyják el Fehéroroszországot a régióban kialakult kiszámíthatatlan helyzet miatt, áll a külügyminisztérium honlapján közzétett közleményben.
„Oroszország szokatlan és riasztó katonai aktivitásának fokozódása miatt az ukrajnai határ közelében, a Fehéroroszországban tartózkodó vagy az országba utazást tervező amerikai állampolgároknak tudniuk kell, hogy a helyzet kiszámíthatatlan, és a térségben fokozott a feszültség” – közölte a külügyi tárca.
A külföldiek potenciális üldöztetésének is fennáll a veszélye. Tekintettel a helyzet fokozott instabilitásra, az Egyesült Államok állampolgárainak határozottan nem ajánlják, hogy Fehéroroszországba utazzanak.
„Az Egyesült Államok kormányának korlátozottak a lehetőségei arra, hogy tervezett vagy sürgősségi szolgáltatásokat nyújtson állampolgárainak Fehéroroszország az USA nagykövetsége személyzetével kapcsolatos döntése miatt” – áll a közleményben.
Az amerikaiaknak azt tanácsolták, hogy kerüljék a nyilvános demonstrációkat, és rendszeresen vizsgálják felül vészhelyzet kialakulása esetén az ország elhagyására vonatkozó lehetséges terveket.
