Boris Johnson brit miniszterelnök azt fontolgatja, villámlátogatást tesz Kijevbe, hogy kifejezze támogatását Ukrajnának az Oroszország elleni háborúban, a beosztottjai most egy ilyen döntés megvalósíthatóságát elemzik – írta az rbc.ua hírportál hétfőn a Daily Mail című brit lapra hivatkozva.
Az újság szerint Johnson azt kérte a tisztségviselőktől, vizsgálják meg annak megvalósíthatóságát és értékét, hogy az ukrán fővárosba utazzon és tárgyaljon Volodimir Zelenszkij elnökkel. A brit kormányfő utazását azonban – mint a kiadvány tájékoztat – kategorikusan ellenzi a biztonsági szolgálata, amely attól tart, hogy nem tudja megszervezni a szükséges szintű biztonságot abban az országban, ahol a háború folyik. Johnson azonban a média szerint mindenképp megpróbál ilyen módon változtatni a helyzeten.

Az ukrán diplomácia vezetője Blinken csütörtöki hivatalos látogatása kapcsán hangsúlyozta, hogy az Ukrajna és USA közötti kapcsolatok soha nem voltak olyan dinamikusak az ukrán függetlenség 30 éve során, mint most. „Az amerikai külügyminiszter nagyon fontos dolgot mondott: Ukrajnának soha nem kell kételkednie az USA-t illetően, az Egyesült Államok ugyanis soha nem fog megállapodni senkivel Ukrajnáról Ukrajna nélkül” – mutatott rá a külügyminiszter.

Az informátor a kiadványnak elmondta, hogy a találkozón ukrán részről Razumkov házelnök és a frakciók vezetői – Porosenko, Timosenko, Bojko, Oszadcsuk és Arahamija – vettek részt. Felszólalásában Razumkov a reformok fontosságát hangsúlyozta, és bírálta Andrij Kobolevnek, a Naftohaz Ukrajini állami részvénytársaság vezetőjének leváltását. Porosenko Ukrajna NATO-belépésének a szükségességét és az orosz agresszió témáját hangsúlyozta. Timosenko koronavírus elleni vakcinát kért az amerikaiaktól, szóba hozta a szegénység elleni küzdelem kérdését, és bírálta Volodimir Zelenszkij elnököt. Ukrajna kész a partnerség új formáinak fejlesztésére az USA-val a biztonsági szférában, és vizsgálja a számára szükséges fegyverzetek vásárlásának kérdését – jelentette ki Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök pénteken Kijevben a Mike Pompeo amerikai külügyminiszterrel hivatalában folytatott megbeszélést követő közös sajtótájékoztatón, tájékoztatott az Interfax-Ukrajina hírügynökség.
Az államfő hangsúlyozta,
„Ukrajna kész a partnerség új formáinak fejlesztésére az USA-val a biztonsági
szférában. Ezt bizonyítja a történelmi szerződés a Javelin tankelhárító
rakétarendszerek megvásárlásáról.” Jelezte, az amerikai külügyminiszterrel
megvitatta az ukrán haditengerészet Island osztályú naszádokkal történő
erősítésének, valamint az ukrán légvédelem fejlesztésének kérdéseit, aminek
kapcsán megvizsgálták az Ukrajna számára szüksége új fegyverzetek beszerzésének
opcióit.
Zelenszkij azt is
elmondta, hogy Ukrajna szorosan együttműködik amerikai partnereivel
hadiiparának sikeres megreformálása érdekében. Meggyőződését fejezte ki, hogy
ez új impulzust ad majd a kölcsönösen előnyös együttműködésre a vezető amerikai
fegyvergyártó vállalatokkal. Kiemelte annak fontosságát, hogy Amerikában
kétpárti konszenzus van Ukrajna támogatását illetően.
Az elnök jelezte,
2020-ban az USA Ukrajnát támogató programjainak összege 700 millió dollárt tesz
ki, amiből 365 millió az ország védelmi és biztonsági kapacitásának a növelését
szolgálja.
