A tudósítás szerint Reznyikov az „1 + 1” televízió politikai talkshowjában elmondta: „Oroszország eddig még sehol nem hozott létre csapásmérő katonai csoportokat azokon a helyeken, ahol Ukrajnát körülvette.” Hozzátette, „ezért azt állítani, hogy holnapután támadás lesz, véleményem szerint nem helyénvaló.”
A miniszter aláhúzta, „ez nem jelenti azt, hogy alacsonyak a kockázatok, ez nem jelenti azt, hogy nincs veszély.”

Mint Reznyikov kifejtette a Kreml korábban azt mondta, hogy azért nem lehet országokat felvenni a NATO-ba, mert a szövetség állítólag fenyegeti őket, és közeledik a határaikhoz. „De ez egy vicc, hiszen maguk az oroszok közelednek a NATO határaihoz. Fehéroroszországban gyakorolnak, ami szó szerint a lengyel és litván – NATO-országok – határán van. Elfoglalják a Fekete-tengert, de ott van a szintén NATO-tag Bulgária és Románia” – mutatott rá.

Ukrajna szerint az orosz flotta gyakorlatilag hajózhatatlanná teszi ezzel a térséget. Az esemény hasonlóan az orosz szárazföldi erők részvételével Belaruszban tartott hadgyakorlathoz, csütörtökön vette kezdetét.
Ukrajna régóta vádolja Oroszországot azzal, hogy fekete-tengeri kikötőit gyakorlatilag blokád alatt tartja, akadályozva ezzel az ország kereskedelmét. Kijev főként acélt, búzát és napraforgó olajat exportál déli kikötőin keresztül. Az orosz flotta részéről ráadásul a flotta hat hadihajója az ukránoktól 2014-ben elfoglalt Krím-félsziget kikötőjébe, Szevasztopolba érkezett a hadijátékokra.

Egyáltalán nem valószínű, hogy az orosz csapatok elfoglalják Harkivot, ma már nem létezik 100 százalékos valószínűség – jelentette ki Olekszij Reznyikov védelmi miniszter hétfőn a Levij Bereg hírportálnak adott interjújában.
A jelentés szerint a miniszter azt mondta: „a dél-keleti rész szintén Oroszországgal közös határ. És elnézést kérek, de Harkiv megye határa ugyancsak Oroszországgal közös határ.” Újságírói kérdésére, hogy mekkora a valószínűsége Harkiv orosz megszállásának, amit Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök nemrég bejelentett, Reznyikov azt válaszolta: „ennek nincs valószínűsége”. Hozzátette, „megmagyarázom, miért. Mert ha valószínűségről beszélünk, akkor ez a kifejezést tekintve 100% valószínűség. Ha a valószínűség-elméletet vesszük, akkor a valószínűség 100%-a valószínűség. Ilyen 100% nem létezik.
A tárcavezető megjegyezte: Oroszország pontosan kidolgozza a különféle inváziós terveket arra az esetre, ha megfelelő politikai döntés születik. „Ezért délről, a tengerről és keletről is fennáll a támadás valószínűsége. Olekszij Reznyikov védelmi miniszter egy szombati lapinterjúban kijelentette, hogy Németország nem tesz jót az Európai Unió jövőjének azzal, hogy nem hajlandó felfegyverezni Ukrajnát, szerinte nem ilyen vezető európai szerep lenne elvárható ettől a nagy nyugati országtól – adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Reznyikov a Le Figaro című francia lapnak nyilatkozva azt mondta: „nem egészen értem a valós okait, hogy Németország miért tagadja meg Ukrajnától a fegyverek szállítását, hiszen az új koalíciónak az előző kormánnyal ellentétben nem kellene sokkal jobban kötődni Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnökhöz.” Mint hangsúlyozta, „nem vagyok benne biztos, hogy ez jó dolog az Európai Unió jövője szempontjából.” . Mindazonáltal a miniszter reményét fejezte ki, hogy Németország meggondolja magát az Ukrajnába irányuló fegyverszállítás tilalmával kapcsolatban. „Én azonban remélem, hogy a németek megváltoztatják álláspontjukat. Utóvégre mi az országunk védelmére kérjük a fegyvereket” – bizakodott Olekszij Reznyikov.
A hírportál emlékeztetett arra, hogy Németország már korábban kizárta a halált okozó fegyverek Ukrajnának történő szállítási lehetőségét, mivel az országból tilos fegyvert exportálni válságövezetekbe. Ugyanakkor Christine Lambrecht német védelmi miniszter ugyanakkor kijelentette, hogy kész 5 ezer rohamsisakot adományozni az ukrán hadseregnek.

Olekszij Reznyikov védelmi miniszter a sajtónak kijelentett, hogy bárhol kész lenne találkozni és tárgyalni orosz kollégájával, Szergej Sojguval – adta hírül a strana.news hírportál kedden a miniszternek a Legfelső Tanács folyosóján adott interjújára hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint Reznyikov azt mondta: „ha a brüsszeli vagy a müncheni tárgyalási helyszínen, a partnereink, az Egyesült Államok, az Egyesült Királyság és Észak-Írország védelmi minisztereinek részvételével folytatott tárgyalások keretében netalán találkozót javasolnának, akkor kész lennék a találkozásra.” Egyúttal hozzátette, hogy jelenleg nem folynak egy ilyen találkozó előkészületei. A tárcavezető mindazonáltal jelezte, hogy most találkozik minden védelmi miniszterrel, akinek lehetősége van arra, hogy demonstrálja Ukrajna támogatását.
