Az Egyesült Államok azt szeretné, ha a világ országai fokozott erőfeszítéseket tennének Ukrajna katonai támogatására, elsősorban harckocsikkal való ellátására – jelentette ki Ned Price, az amerikai külügyminisztérium szóvivője sajtókonferenciáján, számolt be szerdán az rbc.ua hírportál a külügyminiszteri tájékoztató video-közvetítésére hivatkozva.
A tudósítás szerint Price azt mondta: „azt szeretnénk, ha a világ országai megmozdulnának, és bizonyos esetekben továbbra is aktívan biztosítanák az ukrán partnereknek azt, amire szükségük van.” Szerinte bizonyos esetekben a fegyveres erők olyan fegyverekkel történő feltöltéséről van szó, amelyek már az ukránok fegyvertárában vannak. És bizonyos esetekben érdemes beszélni az ukrán fegyveres erők új típusú fegyverekkel való ellátásának kilátásairól – tette hozzá.
Az amerikai külügyminisztériumi sajtószóvivő ugyanakkor megjegyezte, hogy Washington nem mondja meg szövetségeseinek és partnereinek, hogy mit biztosítsanak Ukrajnának. „Ez minden egyes szuverén állam szuverén döntése” – hangsúlyozta Ned Price.

Marija Pejcinovic Buric, az Európa Tanács főtitkára levélben fordult Szergej Lavrov orosz külügyminiszterhez, amelyben arra szólította fel Oroszországot, hogy teljesítse nemzetközi jogi kötelezettségeit, és maradéktalanul hajtsa végre az Emberi Jogok Európai Bíróságának (EJEB) ítéleteit – tájékoztatott a strasbourgi székhelyű Európai Tanács hétfőn.
Marija Pejcinovic Buric levelében emlékeztetett, az Európa Tanács az Ukrajna ellen indított háború miatt március 16-án kizárta tagjai közül Oroszországot, Moszkvának azonban végre kell hajtania a szervezet felügyelete alatt működő Emberi Jogok Európai Bíróságának rá vonatkozó, szeptember 16-ig meghozott ítéleteit.
A levél szerint jelenleg 2227 olyan nyitott ügy van az emberi jogi bíróság előtt, amelyek végrehajtásra várnak. Az ukrajnai háború február 24-i kezdete óta három orosz ügyet zártak le. Az ügyek közül 1874 esetben maradt el a jogosultaknak járó elégtétel kifizetése, a fennálló összeg a késedelmi kamatokkal együtt meghaladta a 2 milliárd eurót.
Levelében Marija Pejcinovic Buric az EJEB-ítéletek azonnali végrehajtására, a megítélt kártérítések kifizetésére szólította fel Oroszországot. Vallási csoportok és civil szervezetekkel szemben hozott orosz intézkedések visszavonására, államközi ügyekben hozott ítéletek végrehajtására vonatkozó kötelezettségre emlékeztetett, és sürgette az orosz hatóságokat, hogy vezessenek be megfelelő büntetőjogi szankciókat a családon belüli erőszak eseteire, és biztosítsák az áldozatok megfelelő védelmét. A lezáratlan esetek között a főtitkár kiemelte, az Európa Tanács mélyen elítéli, hogy Alekszej Navalnij orosz ellenzéki politikust továbbra is szigorú körülmények között tartják fogva, annak ellenére, hogy a bíróság haladéktalan szabadon bocsátására szólított fel – írta az MTI.
