У Фінляндії закриють чотири пункти пропуску на кордоні з рф у ніч з п’ятниці, 17 листопада, на суботу, 18 листопада.
Про це заявили прем’єр-міністр країни Петтері Орпо та міністр внутрішніх справ Марі Рантанен, повідомляє Ilta-Sanomat.
Зазначається, що буде закрито пункти Іматра, Нійрала, Нуйямаа та Ваалімаа.
За словами Рантанена, зростання кількості шукачів притулку «обтяжує владу», тому на це необхідно реагувати.
Орпо ж заявив, що є чіткі ознаки того, що ситуація на східному кордоні Фвнляндії «явно відхиляється від нормальної».
Повідомляється, що країна узгодила рішення з сусідніми країнами та Європейським союзом.
За даними прикордонної служби Фінляндії, зв’язок з російською владою також підтримується, однак жодної відповіді з боку рф на висловлену стурбованість ситуацією не надійшло.
Рантанен зазначив, що особи, які звернулися до Фінляндії, легально перебували в росії, тому відповідальність за них буде нести росія.
Раніше вже повідомлялося, що уряд Фінляндії розглядає повне закриття кордону з рф, оскільки служба прикордонного контролю росії почала масово пропускати людей без документів для в’їзду в країну.

У випадках масового напливу мігрантів Латвія готова закрити кордон із Білоруссю та росією, заявив президент Латвії Едгар Рінкевичс.

На зустрічі міністром оборони Німеччини Борисом Пісторіусом, 26 вересня, вони обговорювали внесок Берліна в безпеку регіону, а також потенційні ризики гібридної загрози на кордоні НАТО.
Рінкевичс висловив подяку за участь Німеччини в забезпеченні безпеки Балтійського регіону та плани щодо збільшення чисельності Збройних сил. Зокрема, він підтвердив готовність Латвії прийняти ротацію бойових літаків Німеччини в Лієлварді 2024 року.
Обговорюючи потенціал гібридних атак на кордоні Латвії, Рінкевічс зазначив, що країна готова вжити всіх необхідних заходів, зокрема закрити кордон із Білоруссю та росією.
5 вересня міністр оборони Латвії Інара Мурнієце заявив, що міністерство оборони Латвії розглядає варіант встановлення протитанкових мін та інших додаткових перешкод, щоб посилити безпеку кордону через можливу загрозу з боку Білорусі та росії.
З 15 серпня Латвія почала додаткову мобілізацію прикордонників на службу для посилення охорони кордону.

Посадовець обґрунтував рішення про закриття пунктів пропуску «Шумськ» і «Тверечь» присутністю в Білорусі російських найманців «Вагнера».
Як пише The Guardian, не виключено, що з часом країна закриє всі пункти пропуску з Білоруссю. Литва наразі розглядає й такий сценарій.
