A litván hadsereg a német védelmi iparral közösen Litvániában javítja meg az ukrajnai harcokban megrongálódott Leopard tankokat, olvasható a litván hadsereg honlapján.
„Az ilyen feladatok elvégzése lehetővé teszi számunkra a kiképzést, a személyzet harckészültségének fenntartását, a logisztikai láncok ellenőrzését és Ukrajna folyamatos támogatását” – áll az üzenetben.
Megjegyezték, hogy Litvánia már megszervezte az Ukrajnának átadott és a harci cselekményekben részt vevő PzH2000 önjáró tarackok javítását és visszaszállítását Ukrajnába.
Az ukrán hadsereg 18 fős szerelőkből álló első csoportját a litván hadsereg szakemberei képezték ki az intenzív használat miatt műszaki jellemzőit elvesztő tarackok javítására.
Litvánia támogatási csomagokat állít össze Ukrajna számára, figyelembe véve Ukrajna legnagyobb szükségleteit és prioritásait.
