Dmitro Kuleba külügyminiszter egy szombati rádióinterjúban felrótta Ukrajna nemzetközi partnereinek, hogy többet is tehetnének az orosz állampolgárság osztogatásának fékezése érdekében Donbászon – adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Kuleba az ukrán Szabadság Rádiónak nyilatkozva tett szemrehányást a nemzetközi partnereknek, amiért nem reagálnak kellő keménységgel az orosz állampolgárság osztogatására a megszállt Donbászon. Szerinte az Oroszországgal szembeni szankciókkal fékezni lehetne a folyamatot.
Az ukrán diplomácia vezetője úgy vélte, mivel Oroszországra nem nehezedett szankciós nyomás, ezért futószalagszerűen szervezhette meg Donyeck és Luhanszk megyék megszállt járásaiban az orosz állampolgárság megadását a lakosságnak. „Nagy hiba volt a barátaink és partnereink részéről, hogy már az orosz honosítás kezdetén nem léptek fel kellő eréllyel, vagyis nem vették komolyan a dolgot” – mutatott rá. Hozzáfűzte: Oroszország megérezte a lehetőséget, és futószalagra helyezte állampolgárságának a terjesztését. Mint kifejtette, kemény szankciós nyomással lényegesen fékezni lehetett volna Moszkva hasonló cselekedeteit.
Kuleba szerint a partnerek engedékenysége ahhoz vezetett, hogy Oroszország immáron „az orosz lakosság védelme” címén fenyegetheti Ukrajnát. „Így most azt kell hallgatnunk Kozaktól, mint a helyzet legutóbbi kiéleződésekor is, hogy Moszkva kénytelen lesz megvédeni Donbászt, mert ott orosz állampolgárok élnek. Ez a konkrét következménye az orosz honosításnak” – méltatlankodott a külügyminiszter.

Calls to avoid humiliation of Russia can only humiliate France and every other country that would call for it. Because it is Russia that humiliates itself. We all better focus on how to put Russia in its place. This will bring peace and save lives.
