A jelentés szerint az ukrán diplomácia vezetője elmondta: „Fényképes bizonyítékaink vannak. Dmitro Kuleba emlékeztetett arra, hogy az agresszor ország drónjainak a NATO-tag Románia területére zuhanása az ukrán kikötői infrastruktúra elleni újabb támadás során történt a Dunán.
Luminica Odobescu, Románia külügyminisztere ugyanakkor cáfolta, hogy orosz drónok zuhantak volna országa területére. „Láttuk, hogy Oroszország cinikusan továbbra is támadja a polgári infrastruktúrát, akadályozva Ukrajnát abban, hogy gabonát exportáljon. Természetesen fennáll a rendkívüli események vagy incidensek veszélye, de ez eddig nem történt meg” – állította az ukrán vezetőknek ellentmondva a román diplomácia vezetője.
