Olaszország szintén csatlakozik a nehézfegyverek szállításához – jelentette be Mark Rutte, holland miniszterelnök, számolt be a Politico.
Rutte felszólította a NATO partnereit is, hogy aktivizálják a fegyverellátást. A holland miniszterelnök elmondása szerint Olaszország úgy döntött, hogy hozzájárul az Ukrajnának nyújtandó segélyhez.
Arra a kérdésre, hogy ez azt jelenti-e, hogy Olaszország német gyártmányú Panzerhaubitze 2000 tarackokat is küld, Rutte azt válaszolta, először meg kell győződnünk, hogy ezek Panzerhaubitzék-e, egyben hozzátette, hogy olyan technikáról van szó, mint amilyet már Németország és Hollandia is szállított Ukrajnába.
Mindeközben az olasz védelmi minisztérium képviselője nem volt hajlandó nyilatkozni a tarackok esetleges szállításáról, mondván, hogy országában az ukrajnai szállítmányok listája titkosítva van.

A német Panzerhaubitze 2000 önjáró tarackok már az ukrán tüzérség 155 mm-es tarackokból álló arzenáljának részét képezik – közölte kedden Olekszij Reznyikov védelmi miniszter a Twitteren, adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Reznyikov megköszönte német kollégája, Christine Lambrecht védelmi miniszternek az Ukrajnának nyújtott támogatást. „A Panzerhaubitze 2000 végre része a 155 mm-es tarackokból álló ukrán tüzérségi arzenálnak. Nagyra értékelem Christine Lambrecht kollégám minden erőfeszítését, amit Ukrajna támogatása érdekében kifejt. Tüzéreink befűtenek az ellenségnek a csatatéren!” – lelkendezett Reznyikov.
Az internetes Wikipédia szerint a Panzerhaubitze 2000 jól illeszkedik a modern hadviselés koncepciójához – nagy távolságból egy sorozattal eltalálja a célt, és gyorsan elhagyja állását. Egy automata tűzvezérlő rendszer segíti a célpont lefedését céllövések nélkül, amely egyszerre irányítja a teljes üteget. A Panzerhaubitze 2000 három lövést 9 másodperc alatt, vagy 10-et 56 másodperc alatt képes leadni. Ezenkívül a sebessége 10-13 lövés percenként, a cső melegedésétől függően. Lőtávolsága 50 kilométer.
