Emmanuel Macron Hollandiában sem tud elbújni a politikáját bírálók elől. A francia elnök éppen az EU jövőjéről tartott beszédet, amikor a közönség egy része elkezdte kifütyülni. Mint kiderült, ők is az államfő tervezett francia nyugdíjreformja ellen tiltakoztak.
Miután helyre állt a rend azt mondta: Európának gyorsabban kell fejlődnie, hogy versenyben maradjon az USA-val és Kínával szemben.
,,Ez létfontosságú, mert különben el fogjuk veszíteni a szuverenitásunkat és a döntési jogköreinket. Most csak amerikai és kínai technológiák segítségével válhatunk karbonsemlegessé 2050-re. Így viszont kiszolgáltatottá válunk. Ha nem fejlesztünk, rengeteg ember el fogja veszíteni a munkáját és mi semmit se tudunk majd tenni ez ellen” – vázolt igen pesszimista jövőképet Macron.
Az elnök nemrég tért haza Kínából, ahol amellett, hogy megpróbálta erősíteni a két ország kereskedelmi kapcsolatait, leszögezte: Franciaországnak és egész Európának a saját útját kell járnia, keleti vagy nyugati befolyásolás nélkül.
