A francia nemzetgyűlés szerda este megbuktatta Michel Barnier kormányát.
Az Új Népfront nevű baloldali pártszövetség és a Marine Le Pen fémjelezte Nemzeti Tömörülés által kezdeményezett bizalmatlansági indítvány 331 szavazatot kapott az 577 fős alsóházban. A kormány megbuktatásához legalább 288 szavazatra volt szükség.
Az alkotmánynak megfelelően Michel Barnier miniszterelnöknek most be kell nyújtania lemondását Emmanuel Macron államfőnek.
A kormány parlamenti megbuktatására 1962 óta nem volt példa Franciaországban.

Emmanuel Macron francia elnök pártja és centrista szövetségeseinek Együtt! elnevezésű koalíciója az élen végzett a francia törvényhozási választások második fordulójában, de elvesztette az abszolút többséget a nemzetgyűlésben – derül ki a francia belügyminisztérium hétfőre virradóra közzétett hivatalos végeredményéből.
A kormánypártnak a következő öt évben 246 helye lesz az 577 fős nemzetgyűlésben, ahol eddig 345 képviselővel rendelkezett.
Az abszolút többséghez 289 szavazat szükséges.
„Holnaptól a cselekvő többség létrehozásán dolgozunk, nincs más alternatíva” – mondta vasárnap este Elisabeth Borne miniszterelnök, aki elismerte, hogy „ez a példátlan helyzet kockázatot jelent hazánk számára”.
A kommunistákat, a zöldeket, a szocialistákat és a radikális baloldalt tömörítő baloldali szövetség (NUPES) 131 helyet szerzett meg, s ezzel a legfőbb ellenzéki erő lesz a nemzetgyűlésben.
A Marine Le Pen vezette szuverenista jobboldali Nemzeti Tömörülés 89 képviselővel 1986 után először ismét önálló frakciót alakíthat.
A negyedik helyen végzett konzervatív Köztársaságiaknak – akik eddig a legnagyobb ellenzéki frakciót alkották – 61 fős csoportja lesz a parlament alsóházában.
Az új nemzetgyűlés június 28-án tartja alakuló ülését, s kormányátalakítás is várható, miután az államfő kérésére a miniszterek és Elisabeth Borne kormányfő is elindult képviselőjelöltként, de annak a kormánytagnak, aki nem tudott győzni a választókerületében, le kell mondania kormányzati tisztségéről.
Brigitte Bourguignon egészségügyi miniszter, Amélie de Montchalin, az ökológiai átmenetért felelős tárcavezető és Justine Bénin, a tengeri kérdésekért felelős államtitkár nem szerzett mandátumot, s kikapott választókörzetében Richard Ferrand, a nemzetgyűlés kormánypárti elnöke és Christophe Castaner, a kormánypárt nemzetgyűlési csoportjának vezetője is.
