Dzsafar Montazeri iráni főügyész jelentette be.
Az Isna félhivatalos helyi hírügynökség vasárnapi beszámolója szerint Montazeri azt mondta, „az erkölcsrendészetnek semmi köze az igazságszolgáltatáshoz, és azok szüntették meg, akik létrehozták”. A főügyész szombat este a síita vallás legszentebb helyén, Kum városában beszélt erről.
