Німеччина передала Словаччині перший танк Leopard 2A4 – ними замінять радянські бойові машини піхоти (БМП), які раніше були передані Україні.
Про це повідомляє Aktuality.
До кінця 2023 року Словаччина отримає 15 таких сучасних танків з Німеччини. За цей час країна має підготувати відповідні екіпажі. Танки будуть оснащені спеціальними системами для засекреченого зв’язку, сумісними з системами словацької армії.
Зазначається, що після отримання танків Словаччина відповідатиме стандартам НАТО, бо наявних 30 Т-72 для цього було недостатньо.
